I was born in Ft. Lauderdale, in the state of Florida. My mother is from Madrid and my father from Minnesota. I lived in Florida the first 10 years of my life. Afterward, we moved to Austin, Texas, and then Washington DC. I always went to public schools and although I hated going to school, the last four years were very important to me. In High School I learned a lot about acting, it was a Fairfax County Theater Magnet Program. I won a couple of prizes. One in particular made me very excited, it was an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, and it was difficult for me to learn to speak the Shakespearean language, especially due to my dyslexia, which I have had to fight with since I was little.
I don't remember ever wanting to be anything in life more than an actress. I didn't have plan B, I don't have it yet.
I have not been shy, nor have I had what we call a sense of ridicule. My mother remembers once that I disappeared from the table in a Georgetown restaurant and when they thought I was in the bathroom, they heard over the microphone announcing that I was going to sing with the life band. That happened many times.
I have been fortunate to know many parts of the United States. I carry my country in my heart.
We returned to Spain, my mother's land, when I was 20 years old.
I'm not going to lie and say that there was no clash of cultures, but my mother taught me the language since I was little and I learned a lot from her, so it wasn't so drastic for me. I love living in Madrid. Here I believe that life is lived more, things are enjoyed more. Immediately I became friends and got used to the Spanish schedule and life. Also, my family is here and although my parents are no longer together, my father is still in Madrid and lives near me.
I have traveled to many countries in Europe, I love to know other cultures. The luck that I have had to live in different places and travel so much has made me be open and accept people as they are. I think it is one of my best virtues.
I am clearly an Artist. But of all the arts, my thing is really acting. My goal is to become an internationally famous actress. YES, I say "famous" without shame. I think you have to know what you want and go for it. Don't settle for less. I've started with a series of producers and directors for Black Mirror and Stranger Things, which has been a lucky break and a great experience. Now I have other pending projects that I'm very excited about, but that I can't talk about at the moment.
Music is part of my life. In addition to being an actress, I am also a blues and soul singer-songwriter. Since I was little I was exposed to many types of music, from Johny Cash, David Ruffin,, Blues: Big Mamma Thornton, Koko Taylor and Haowlin Wolf, to: Madonna, The Cure, The Verve, Rolling Stones, Beatles, and David Bowie. Now I really like it: Moby, Local H, Sound Garden and many more.
I am passionate about going to the movies. My favorite action movies: Pulp Fiction, Taxi Driver and Good Fellows, Comedies: Overboard, The Nice Guys, Tropic Thunder Due date and Sixteen. CandlesSuspense: Zodiac, Psicho and Marnie, Horror: Annabel and The Conjuring. Mad men and American Horror Stories are my favorite series. My favorite actors, who I admire and always learn from, are: Michelle Pfiefer, Glenn Close, Betty Davies and Margo Robbie and men, Leo Di Caprio, Marlon Brando, Robert Downey Jr and Robert de Niro.
